Stove & Range Repair — Book a Visit Today
A range gives you plenty of warning before it quits for good. One burner lights slow. The oven runs cool, so the cornbread comes out pale. A glass top shows a hot spot that never gets hot. Storm season adds its own trouble around here — a surge rolls through and the control board loses its mind, leaving a dark display and dead elements. When we come out, we test what actually carries the current: igniters, elements, sensors, switches, valves, boards. We measure instead of guess, then tell you plain what part failed and what the fix takes. Gas or electric, freestanding or slide-in, we work on all major brands as an independent shop. Call us and describe what your stove is doing.

The stove & range symptoms we hear most
- "The burner clicks but won't light" Weak spark igniter, clogged burner port, or a moisture-soaked igniter switch
- "Oven says 350 but bakes like 300" Drifting temperature sensor, failed bake element, or a control needing calibration
- "One glass burner stays cold" Open radiant element, burned infinite switch, or a scorched wire terminal under the top
- "Display went black after the storm" Surge-damaged control board, tripped breaker leg, or a blown internal fuse
- "Smells like gas near the stove" Loose supply fitting, cracked valve seal, or burner not seated — shut the gas off and call
Safe things to check first
Worth a look before you call — sometimes it saves you the visit.
- 1Look at the breaker panel — an electric range uses two legs, and losing one kills the oven while burners still work.
- 2Pull the burner grates and caps off a gas cooktop and clear food crumbs out of the little slots.
- 3Check that the oven racks and any foil are not blocking the vent path or resting on the bake element.
- 4Unplug the range for a minute, plug it back in, and see if the control display comes back on.
How it works
- Step 1
Tell us the symptom
Call us or fill out the form. Describe what you hear, smell, or see. Buzzing, leaking, no heat. Plain talk is fine. We ask a few questions and set a visit window.
- Step 2
We come look
A technician arrives in the window, pulls the unit out, and tests it. No guessing games. We explain what failed and why, in words that make sense on your back porch.
- Step 3
We fix it
Common parts ride with us, so many repairs finish the same visit. If a part must be ordered, we tell you plainly and schedule the return before we leave your driveway.

Stove & Range Repair — quick answers
Is a gas smell something I should wait on?
No. Turn off the gas at the shutoff behind or beside the range, open a window, skip light switches, and step outside. If the smell is strong, call your gas utility first, then reach us for the repair.
Why does my oven take forever to preheat?
Usually a weak bake element on electric models or a lazy oven igniter on gas. Both heat, just not enough. A tired temperature sensor can also make the control overshoot and stall. We test the element draw and sensor resistance to tell which.
Can a cracked glass cooktop be fixed?
The glass itself is replaced, not patched. Cracks let spills reach the elements and wiring underneath, so cooking on it invites bigger damage. We check whether the replacement top is still made for your model before you decide.
Do you work on both gas and electric ranges?
Yes, plus dual-fuel and slide-in models. Gas work covers igniters, safety valves, and burner assemblies. Electric covers elements, switches, and boards. We are an independent company and service all major brands.
My knobs work but the digital clock is dead. Related?
Often, yes. On many ranges the same control board runs the clock, the oven, and the timer while surface burners wire around it. A dead clock after a power blip usually points to board or fuse damage.
Should I run the self-clean cycle?
Use it sparingly. The extreme heat is hard on door latches, sensors, and boards, and a failure mid-cycle can leave the door locked. Wiping spills out by hand while the oven is barely warm saves parts over the long haul.

Why homeowners call us
- Storm-season surge damageLightning and blinking power hurt control boards. An oven that lights up but won't heat, a washer that dies mid-cycle. We test boards and wiring before replacing anything, so you know what the surge actually took out.
- Clay dust and lintRed clay dust and lint choke dryer vents and condenser coils. Long dry times, hot laundry rooms, fridges running nonstop. We check airflow every visit, because a clogged vent kills a good machine slowly.
- Straight talk, no runaroundWe say what's wrong and what it takes to fix. If a machine is worn past sense, we say that too. You decide. No pressure, no jargon, no upsell dressed up as advice.
- Independent and localWe're a Nashville crew, not a call center. We repair all major brands as an independent shop. You reach real people, and the person who answers knows the roads we drive.
- All major brands, gas & electricWhirlpool, Samsung, LG, GE, Maytag, Bosch, KitchenAid and more — as an independent repair company.
- Straight answersIf it isn't worth repairing, we'll say so — often on the phone.
